The National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood warning
through 8:00 a.m. Monday for Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties.
There is a high risk of rip currents on Atlantic beaches and a High Surf
Advisory is in effect for the Atlantic Coast due to large swells from Hurricane
Sandy.
Flooding throughout Miami Beach will occur especially during high tide (8:06 p.m. tonight and 8:39 a.m. Monday). Operational teams will close parking and/or travel lanes when necessary. Avoid flooded areas. Allow extra time during Monday morning commutes.
Elevated water levels and high waves (>10FT) will lead to sea water over washing some roads along Atlantic beaches in the tri-county area. Major beach erosion will also continue.
